Happy holidays True Believers,

Thought I'd give you a nice little end-of-year/decade update. We're about halfway through the third issue's art, and we'll have more coming verrrry soon. The second ish is complete and lettered, but I think I'll hold off on releasing it digitally until everything is done if that's cool with you.

Meanwhile, I commissioned a very special LIBRARY-STYLE POSTER from my friend, the extremely talented Nicole Goux (Shadow of the Batgirl, GLOW, F-Off Squad). If you have any physical rewards, you'll get it as a pack-in bonus when everything ships!

The idea was inspired by the old Gargoyles poster I had in my elementary school library that just had a picture of Goliath reading a book and it just said "read" on it as if it wasn't a cartoon. Anyway, it rocks, you rock, etc.

See ya in the funny papers.

Issue 2 in the books! More soon!
over 4 years ago – Thu, Oct 31, 2019 at 02:07:59 AM

Happy Hallowe'en!

The ghosts are beckoning and the witches are serving up bubbling cauldrons of trouble. We're moving at a steady pace, and issue 2 is finished and to the letterer.

Now feast your eyes on this un-lettered cover!

From now on, we'll be moving even faster, as we've signed an extremely talented colorist to help take on some of the workload! I can't wait to show you more as soon as it's available!

We also have something extra-special in the works for your unyielding patience. So stay tuned for that!

A few of my super-talented friends who have helped along the way have launched campaigns of their own! Please consider donating to Brian Firenzi's animated short Under the Haunted Moon and Tomm Jacobsen's primordial horror film The First Curse!

Until next time,

Eric

New Logo! New Pages!
over 4 years ago – Wed, Sep 25, 2019 at 07:39:30 PM

Hey Everybody!

It's been a minute, but rest assured we're doing a bunch of really cool stuff and I think you'll like it a lot!

First on the docket, we got an ALL-NEW LOGO to fit our art style and reinforce the themes of the book a little better. It'll look great on a shelf, and on a hardcover collection and all that. The logo comes courtesy of none other than the great RIAN HUGHES, who you might know from a little title called Batman. Seriously, this guy is one of the most prolific dudes in the game and has created logos and brand identities from some of my favorites, from The Multiversity to Bitch Planet to the redesigned Marvel Comics logo. Placement, size, color and all that isn't final, but check out what it looks like on this quick-n-dirty comp I whipped up for issue #1:

Neat, huh? So look out for that on the website and merch and stuff going forward. Rian even threw in one of the fonts he designed so we can incorporate that into our credits pages and such.

Next up, new pages, featuring our FIRST OFFICIAL LOOK at the Elizabetheaninjas--assassins with chips on their shoulders and secrets under their masks. I present to you: THE DEADLY WIVES OF WINDSOR:

We don't want to spoil anything too bad before the issue is released, but we want to make sure you're hooked:

We're getting to the coloring and lettering phases for issue #2 right now, and we'll release them digitally first when they're ready.

So yeah! Thanks for being patient as we make this the best thing it can be. We're excited to bring you more updates soon, and I have another surprise up my sleeve which I'm saving for a rainy day.

As always, hit me up with questions, comments, concerns, or just to chat.

Love ya lots,

Eric

Hey folks,

Eric here with a quick update. We're chugging along here at a good pace. Here are a few never-before-seen inked pages! Very exciting!

The drama! The action! What does it all mean? You'll find out when it's lettered!

And on the horizon: Our all-new logo from one of the most renowned designers in the industry, and a brand new surprise gift for your endless patience!

Love y'all,

Eric

Introducing our Patron-Players!
over 4 years ago – Thu, Aug 15, 2019 at 12:42:55 AM

Good evening,

Last week has been busy! Gabrielle has finished the roughs for issue two, and is well on the way to the final linework. Let me tell you, The Deadly Wives of Windsor look incredibly cool, and I can't wait to show you what they look like. Meanwhile, I've been working on updating our website, but there's still much work to be done, and more will be revealed shortly.

Did you know that during our campaign, there was an option to be drawn inside the book? Take a look at some of our patron players:

If you'd like a higher-resolution copy of your likeness (to use as a Twitter avatar or whatever), comment here and I'll send it right to you!

We truly appreciate you all!

Until next time,

Eric
